Dear Friends,

Welcome to March! I have been busy in the kitchen the past few weeks, revisiting and improving old classics as well as trying out lots of new recipe ideas. I've also been working on adding more videos to the site. Below you'll find some tasty ideas for weeknights, as well as a few Purim-inspired cocktails and treats. L'chaim!

CHICKEN SCHNITZEL - This easy and irresistible recipe is sure to become a family favorite. Try breading it with panko for a lighter, flakier coating.
RECIPE AND VIDEO HERE or PIN IT for later.
ISRAELI SALAD - One of my favorite sides to pair with chicken schnitzel is a classic Israeli Salad. This salad is made throughout the Middle East under various names, including Shirazi salad and coban salatasi. It's so easy to make, and goes with just about any meal… even breakfast!
RECIPE AND VIDEO TUTORIAL HERE or PIN IT for later.
ORANGE BLOSSOM MARGARITA - When orange blossom water was added to my basic citrus margarita, the result was magical – sweet, icy, and refreshing. Recipe includes a virgin "chiller" option. RECIPE HERE or PIN IT for later.
CARAMEL APPLE FILLING - This thick and rich Caramel Apple Filling can be used for cookies, pastries, and everyone's favorite Purim treat – hamantaschen! Apples combine with dulce de leche to create a creamy, sweet and slightly salted filling that is absolutely irresistible. RECIPE AND VIDEO TUTORIAL HERE or PIN IT for later.
POTATO CHEESE BOUREKASThese Potato Cheese Bourekas are a great way to use up leftover mashed potatoes. With Purim coming up, a Jewish holiday that is often celebrated with vegetarian food, these bourekas would be a tasty triangular addition to your holiday menu. RECIPE HERE or PIN IT for later.
BLOOD ORANGE AND ROSEMARY COCKTAIL - This drink is inspired by the bold, juicy flavor of blood oranges, which happen to be in season right now. It's a subtly sweet, crisp, and aromatic drink. RECIPE HERE or PIN IT for later.
HOMEMADE MISHLOACH MANOT BASKET - Purim is right around the corner which means it's time to start making Mischloach Manot! These baskets are given as gifts within the Jewish community as a symbol of friendship and strength. Instead of rushing out to the craft store for pre-made baskets, why not create homemade baskets at home with your kids? TUTORIAL HERE or PIN IT for later.
