Dear Friends,

We're about 3 weeks away from the Jewish holiday of Purim, and it's never too early to start planning for the big party. Below you'll find some classic Purim recipes updated with fresh new video tutorials. I've also included a historical recipe for Washington Cake in honor of President's Day weekend.

Want to learn more? Check out my What is Purim? page with links to holiday recipes and crafts.

SPICY JALAPEÑO HUMMUS - A lighter, zesty alternative to guacamole. Serve with pita chips, bread or crudités. Perfect for sharing at a President's Day weekend bash... or a Purim party! RECIPE HERE or PIN IT for later.
HOMEMADE CHICKEN KREPLACH - Homemade kreplach is a Sunday kind of project. Because it takes a bit of time, kreplach are usually reserved for special occasions and holidays - like Purim, when it's also tradition to eat triangular foods. RECIPE HERE or PIN IT for later.
HOW TO INFUSE VODKA WITH FLAVOR - Rather than buying flavored vodka, I thought it would be more fun to infuse vodka with flavor myself. The process couldn't be easier and in 4-5 days, you'll have naturally flavored vodka, which you can use in a variety of cocktail recipes. Makes a fun added "bonus" gift in a grownup Mishloach Manot basket. TUTORIAL HERE or PIN IT for later.
