Netanyahu Denies That Trump Blocked a Planned Israeli Offensive Against Iran. Ghalibaf's Adviser Says Israel Is Approaching 'Zero Hour.' Hegseth Was in Israel This Week.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected reports that President Trump had blocked a planned Israeli military operation against Iran, according to Iran International. The denial followed reporting that Hegseth met Netanyahu in Israel earlier this week — a meeting that coincided with signs of pre-election strike planning in Washington.

An adviser to Iran's parliament speaker Ghalibaf wrote that 'the enemy has moved closer to zero hour' for a confrontation with Iran. Iran's new defense minister said the country's military capabilities would 'improve significantly,' and the army chief said Iran's adversaries see any compromise as a retreat. With US diplomats leaving Saudi Arabia and Trump saying 'something' will happen fairly soon, the Israeli front may be the trigger that collapses the uneasy lull before the midterms.
