Discovering the Trans Canada Trail, the World's Longest Recreational Trail

The longest network of multi-use recreational trails on Earth, the Trans Canada Trail stretches over 17,000 miles across the Great White North.

Passing through incredibly varied landscapes, the trail connects more than 15,000 communities in Canada, and eight out of every 10 Canadians live within 30 minutes of the trail. If you maintained a steady pace, covering 20 miles a day, it would take you more than two years — probably more — to complete the main section of the Trans Canada Trail, which stretches from St. John's, Newfoundland, to Victoria, British Columbia.
