Shalom Mishpacha, Writing an email for Sukkot this year feels complicated. Normally, this is a time when I'd be wishing you a Chag Sameach without hesitation - a time of joy, gratitude, and gathering. But this year, as Sukkot falls on October 7th, that greeting feels harder to say without acknowledging what this day means for us. Celebrating joyfully feels challenging, and if you're struggling with mixed feelings right now, please know you're not alone. Yet, amid the sadness and uncertainty, I also feel profoundly inspired by the strength and pride I've witnessed within our community, and our prayers are with the hostages for a swift reunion with their families. We carry this hope together, nurturing the collective resilience that has always defined us. As you gather under your sukkah this year, know that you are part of a larger mishpacha, one that stands strong, compassionate, and united even through difficult times. With peace and love, Amy & the ModernTribe Team |
