Happy Sunday, !
I hope your weekend has been restful and delicious.
As strawberry season hits its peak, I couldn't wait to share a few of my favorite ways to use up those delicious fresh berries that we all love. Here are a few of my favorite strawberry season recipes.
I hope your family loves these as much as mine does!
STRAWBERRY SYRUP - This delicious strawberry syrup recipe is my favorite thing to make at the peak of strawberry season! Plus, you'll have the added benefit of knowing what went into your syrup– just three ingredients, all natural, nothing artificial. Sugar acts as a natural preservative, so all you need to do is refrigerate. The syrup will last for weeks (but it's so addicting, it never lasts that long in my kitchen!).
STRAWBERRY SPINACH SALAD - My strawberry spinach salad is just perfect for spring! With bountiful fresh berries, pistachios, and a sweet-tart maple balsamic vinaigrette, this versatile salad complements a variety of lighter seasonal menus. While many similar spinach salad recipes contain goat cheese or feta cheese, this one is completely dairy free and vegan. Don't let that stop you from adding cheese, if you wish! Either way it's filled with flavor, loaded with antioxidants, and it couldn't be easier to make.
SALMON WITH STRAWBERRIES, BALSAMIC AND BASIL: Due to their natural tartness, strawberries can suit savory dishes as well as sweet. Here I've combined crispy pan-seared salmon with a strawberry balsamic relish, topped with a fresh basil garnish. This uncommon pairing of simple ingredients results in a symphony of bright flavors. It's a quick, easy, and unexpected entree, just perfect for spring.
STRAWBERRY BASIL COCKTAIL - Fresh strawberries and basil are a flavor match made in heaven! And this strawberry basil cocktail with vodka proves it. Strawberry simple syrup adds a vibrant red hue and a delicious flavor. Basil-infused vodka provides a delightful and aromatic tipsy base. My family calls it a strawberry basil martini. I call it delicious!
I'll share more of my favorite summer recipes next week!
In the meantime, I would love to connect on Facebook.
With warmth and gratitude,
Tori
