How we #RecycleEverything

Step 1: Receipt & check-in

When you send us your Zero Waste Box, we first check it in and weigh it.

Step 2: Sortation

Waste is separated by material composition using manual sortation, size separation, sink/float techniques, and near-infrared technology.

Step 3: Cleaning

Empty packaging often has some residual product,  so we wash the materials once they are sorted and shredded.

Step 4: Recycling

After the plastics and metals are shredded and cleaned, they are recycled into raw materials, used to make new products.

We're often asked if we make products from the waste recycled through TerraCycle. The answer is YES! TerraCycle Made is a collection of products created from materials we collected and recycled together.
