Liechtenstein, a tiny German-speaking country nestled between Austria and Switzerland, is famous for being doubly landlocked.

In other words, it's a landlocked nation surrounded by landlocked nations — and it's one of only two in the world, along with Uzbekistan. As are its historic castles and fortresses. Dating from the 12th century, the striking Vaduz Castle overlooks the capital of Vaduz and houses the royal family.
