Dear Friends,

We're right in the middle of Hanukkah and approaching the end of the winter holiday season and the end of 2020. I don't know about you, but I think we've all earned some extra cozy and comforting holiday meals to finish out the year. Below are some tried and true favorites that are sure to satisfy your cold weather cravings.

Looking for more Hanukkah content? Check out my Hanukkah Recipe Index and Craft Index for more inspiration.
HOMEMADE CHICKEN AND NOODLES - Families often have their own unique culinary traditions during the holidays. In our family, we make homemade egg noodles with chicken. This recipe, passed down through many generations, can be made on a shoestring budget to feed a large group people. It's sort of like a thicker and creamier version of chicken noodle soup (though it contains no cream). RECIPE HERE or PIN IT for later.
CURRY VEGETABLE LATKES - Eight crazy nights call for eight different latke recipes! Change up your potato pancake game with these flavorful, crispy vegetable latkes. Warm curry spices add depth and interest. RECIPE HERE or PIN IT for later.
EGGNOG GINGERBREAD KUGEL - A sweet Jewish noodle casserole made with eggnog, holiday spices and a gingersnap crumble topping. This easy make-ahead dessert is perfect for a holiday potluck. It's a decadent indulgence! RECIPE HERE or PIN IT for later.
MINI LOX POTATOES APPETIZER - Top roasted baby potatoes with a luscious salmon lox spread made with cream cheese. Add some Greek yogurt to lighten things up. Pop in some fresh dill for flavor, and top it all off with capers… RECIPE HERE or PIN IT for later.
ROSEMARY ROASTED CHICKEN AND POTATOES - This is a one-pan meal, meaning there is no need to dirty a bunch of dishes– toss the potatoes in a bowl, but otherwise all you need is a roasting pan. It's a delicious way to cook chicken… easy enough for a weeknight meal, yet special enough for Shabbat or any occasion. RECIPE HERE or PIN IT for later.
VEGGNOG - I developed this recipe a few years ago as an alternative to classic dairy eggnog that could be served with a kosher meat meal. It's become popular with my vegan friends too. It's lighter than traditional eggnog, can be served with booze or without, and can be made low glycemic by using your favorite sugar-free sweetener. RECIPE HERE or PIN IT for later.
